6 Ways to Wear Fringe This Fall

Fall is my favorite season! As a New York native I'm no stranger to layers, boots, scarfs and hats to face the chilly season. Now that Fashion Month has come to an end let's talk trends! I really love that the 70's fringe trend has returned. It can be worn from clothes to accessories. The smallest fringe detail can stand out and make your outfit. Keep reading for the different ways you can wear fringe this fall.

1. Biker Jacket: Leather jackets are a fall staple. This Topshop find channels the staple and the 70's style without going overboard. The black will go with anything and the fringe is subtle. You might like this one too.

2. Button Up: ASOS sells it as a shirt but it can definitely be layered under a coat or worn as a jacket with a cami underneath. The olive green is a perfect fall color to be paired with your favorite jeans and booties. This tee is a cute alternative under a leather jacket.

3. Drawstring Backpack: The Steve Madden convertible can be worn in two styles: backpack or crossbody. Its versatility is perfect for day-to-night wear in black or camel. This shoulder bag is sold out but well worth the wait for a four color option.

4. Open Toe Booties: Dolce Vita is always my go-to for boots. The fringe and chain chic detail on this bootie immediately caught my eye. Not as detailed these kensie's are a cute alternative with a three color option.

5. Frayed Denim: Who isn't a sucker for a good denim on denim look? This frayed button-down is the perfect match to complete your trendy look. It isn't exactly fringe but it still has a similar look. This dress, tee and top are other options for the denim on denim look. You can also DIY!

6. Suede Skirt: If you were paying any attention to Fashion Month you saw so many of these in street style photos. I personally love the fringe skirt because you can really dress it up or down however you like it. It's a perfect day-to-night look if you're going from work to happy hour or a dinner date! The most popular colors I've seen are camel and black but don't be afraid to experiment with this in different styles and really stand out!
