Fall Beauty Haul!

I finally purchased some of the top items on my "must have" beauty products list. Since the season and weather are changing I wanted to try some new products and I'm so glad I did!

First up is Colourpop! I know I'm a little late to the game but these were a serious score. After watching hours of YouTube reviews I decided to purchase three ultra matte lippies, a highlight and a bronzer. Because of their return policy I wanted to make sure I got colors that were right for my skin tone. Being that I wear so much black and neutral colors on a regular basis I really wanted something that could compliment my everyday look. I opted for the three below:

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these colors. The Ultra Matte Lip is a lightweight liquid lipstick that dries matte. Just a few tips: the formula is very runny so be careful when applying and closing the container. You don't need more than two coats. Make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips beforehand. I really look forward to ordering more products! For $6-$8, it doesn't get any better than that!

I also purchased a Bronzer in Poolside (left) and Highlight in Avalon (right). Mixed with MAC Blush in Swiss Chocolate I really love the end results of this contour. The bronzer is a deep tone that looks like a poolside glow. Its subtle, warm and satin finish is perfect for an everyday look. Avalon is a perfect highlighter. At first I wasn't expecting such a thick consistency but using your fingertips as an applicator gives you the perfect coverage. Its bright glow isn't too much on a day-to-day basis.

From left to right: Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Deep 71, Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Creme Caramel 13, MAC Blush in Swiss Chocolate, MAC Matte Lipstick in Antique Velvet and E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set.

The E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set is a great inexpensive purchase. For only $3 it sets my makeup all day. The ingredients keep my face moisturized all day and set in place. My only issue is it doesn't leave a matte finish. What's your favorite setting spray?

If you're looking for a full coverage foundation I recommend Kat Von D's Lock It Foundation. I've heard great reviews about her liquid lipsticks so I got a small sample from Sephora and tested the foundation for a week. It has long-lasting coverage, a matte finish and doesn't produce a lot of oil (which was HUGE for me because I have a very oily t-zone). I also love that you can cover your whole face with one pump (hello long-lasting purchase). I don't even apply concealer when I'm using it. It's safe to say this is my new go-to foundation purchase.

I'm still learning about concealers but this new Sephora Collection serum has a very warm color which I love. I was using LA Girl Pro before but I found that it was too pale and depending on the lighting my face showed up ghostly in pictures. I'm still experimenting with concealers but for now this one will do.  It leaves a pretty glow and smooth finish. What concealer is your go-to?

These are the last two products from my Fall Beauty Haul! MAC's Matte Lipstick in Antique Velvet and Blush in Swiss Chocolate. I've seen a ton of people rave about using Mac Blush in Blunt for contour but I was matched with Swiss Chocolate. It's similar in tones but not as dramatic. Using this powder with a large fan brush allows me to manipulate my contour. I originally went in planning to purchase Stone lipstick but the shade just wasn't right for me. The intense brown of Antique Velvet is perfect for this season with a vampy look.. It's velvet texture gives an easy application and has a sheen finish.
