Intro to Korean Beauty at Sephora
I am an avid Sephora shopper and a proud VIB member. Recently I stopped by my local store for a FREE mini facial, which is a part of the beauty chain's new mini makeovers service. The in-store Beauty Studio offers an array of services. In 15 minutes you can get a smoky eye, contour, polished brows, flawless foundation or a mini facial.
My obsession with skincare led me to the mini facial! I chose the Korean double cleansing method. I've heard soon many positive things about the Korean beauty regimen so I was really excited to try this out! All beauty products mentioned in this post are available online and in-store.
We started off with Too Cool For School's Egg Mousse Soap Facial Cleanser and Erborian's Solid Cleansing Oil. Despite its ingredients the facial cleanser actually has a very pleasant smell! Meant to hydrate, purify, and replenish the meringue-like cleanser dissolves oils (which is major for me!) and dead skin cells and nourishes for smooth and hydrating skin. The egg white extract works to tighten and brighten while the egg yolk extract moisturizes. My skin was left soooo smooth, clean and with a healthy glow! Another Korean beauty product that was used was the cleansing oil. The balm cleanser is a staple beauty product packed with seven Korean herbs that have long been used in traditional Korean beauty rituals. I was really excited to use this and see how it worked on my skin because of its transforming formula! When it's first applied the oil dissolves impurities on the face from the warmth of the skin and then it changes into a silky lotion when rinsed with water.
Next up was Bosnia's Sake Balm and Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare's Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel! Dermatologically tested the sake based moistruizer promotes a healthier-looking complexion. The peel is offered in normal and extra strength. Being that my skin is sensitive I found that the normal peel was enough treatment for me. The two-step treatment is encouraged daily to help with anti-aging, provide an even skintone and brighten complexion.
I really enjoyed my mini makeover! I was introduced to a new skin regimen along with a ton of great beauty products. You can learn more about Sephora's Korean Beauty products here.
